2 Officers and Civilian Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident in East Mount Airy

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (July 27, 2017) –  Two Philadelphia Police Officers and a civilian, sustained injuries in a car crash on Wednesday night in Philadelphia, according to a report by authorities.

The incident took place just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 at Stenton Avenue and Upsal Street in the East Mount Airy neighborhood.

According to reports, a 14th district officer was responding to a call of a person with a gun when the police cruiser hit the rear of a civilian vehicle.

The three victims were transported to Einstein Medical Center for medical attention. They suffered injuries described as non-life threatening.

Police AID is still investigating the incident to determine cause and liabilities.
